Beatstream Reviews - Bloomin’ Flowers - Dantevilles

3rd April 2019

Dantevilles are back after their break following last years acclaimed self titled EP, and its fair to say it was worth the wait. Bloomin’ Flowers, produced once again by Courteeners bassist Joseph Cross, is a fiery, thumping tune that was originally put to one side after the band thought the song needed more work, this work came in the newly appointed Alexis Panidis invigorating drumming on the track.

As well as this, the music evolves throughout, changing up its tempo to allow for some rather haunting vocals in the gaps between the thunderous guitar and drums. Jamie Gallagher and Connor McNicholas lyrics explore the bands changing understanding of love and relationships over the past few years.

The song finishes with an inspired instrumental in which the bands chemistry is showcased as each instrument plays wonderfully off of each other into a fusion of melodic guitar riffing, subtle falsettos and sharp drumming, which leaves you in a situation where you can’t not play the track again.

Go give the track some love in the link below, also Dantevilles have just announced a free gig at Band on the Wall on May 4th, so there is literally nothing stopping you from catching them live and jumping about to this belter of a track.
